This
is the oldest hotel in Florence, already in the 1300's,
it was an inn well known to Italian and foreign travellers.
It is the hotel's long and illustrious past which
have given rise to its' reputation today as an "
eccentric and inexpensive hotel in Florence "
The 78 rooms are dispersed throughtout
this 14th century Renaissance building, no two rooms
are alike and as a consequence it is our policy not
too show them on this website - we do not wish to
flatter to deceive as our rooms do differ greatly
in terms of size.
The old staircase, the welcoming
dining room used for breakfast, the 2 elevators, the
furnishings - furniture, rugs and period ornaments.
Recently the famous Italian Film Director Dario Argento
the master of horror recorded a few scenes in our
hotel lobby...
Apart from the Hotel's location very
near the Ponte Vecchio , our biggest selling point
is something that no other 3 star hotel Florence can
boast - we have our billiard room and host professional
tournaments. Use of the billiard table is strictly
for guests of the Hotel Porta Rossa Florence.
